Further Proof Describing How Little We Know

If last night taught us something, teams on the right side of the bubble were losers and teams on the wrong side were winners.

There were some crushing losses ...
  • Kentucky loses AT HOME to Georgia ... get that resume ready, Billy Gillispie!
  • Miami loses to Georgia Tech. 6-9 is not good enough and neither is 7-9 with the away win at Kentucky diminishing value by the nanosecond
  • Florida loses to Mississippi State ... a second straight NIT trip. Clement can tell you all about how that feels. At least, the Gators have football. Forever.
  • UAB loses by double digits to UTEP
Some lost opportunities ...
  • Va Tech loses to UNC
  • Houston fights hard, but comes up short against Memphis
Even off of the bubble, some teams lost a seed line with unexpected losses ...
  • Northwestern upsets Purdue on the road, making it two away wins against the Big Ten elite (is that an oxymoron?).
  • LSU loses a home decision against Vanderbilt, who shot 52% from the field.
  • Kansas gets thrashed on senior night against the Ragin' Voskuhls!
  • Boston College loses a close one at NC State.
And others seizing the moment or just plain taking care of business ...
  • Mizzou and Pitt scoring big victories adding to their resumes ... is Duke now the 4th best team as some dude noted on Monday which was met by criticism.
  • UNLV, BYU, A&M, WVU, Tulsa and San Diego State all won games they were supposed to win.
  • Minnesota all but confirmed their ticket to the Big Dance with a 10-0 run to end the game against Wisconsin.
This is March Madness. Two weeks early. Savor it.
