Here's my th...Again...thanks for the comments. Here's my thoughts on the comments:

Eric the Eagle: That's some interesting insight. Never thought of Herremans being moved outside to tackle. That's what he came into the league as. Great call. I could see that happening. He could take over for Runyan. Tra Thomas looks like he's coming back on a 1 or 2 year deal. But, like you said, tackle is still a priority in this draft. I really like William Beatty, much in the same way I liked Heath Benedict in the last draft before he passed away. Regarding Demps. I'm not as high on him as I used to be. But, maybe he can prove me wrong.

Rahim 009: The Eagles 2nd rounder was a tough one for me to place. I went with LB because I'm not as high on Akeem Jordan as many Eagles fans are. He's a coverage LB who doesn't have amazing coverage skills, and he adds next to nothing on run support (except when Samual and I think Cole box Ladell Betts into a single line and Jordan happens to be there). Chung isn't a good replacement for Dawkins. Chung is an "in-the-box" safety who plays closer to the line and isn't the best at coverage.

Broke Thumb: Raji is a beast...and I can even see him landing in Cincy at #6 (Detroit could use him too...but let's not get crazy here). He's a bit of a wild-card, and could easily go to the Pack. But, anyone that's seen what Everette Brown brings, as far as a pass rush, knows he's well worth the pick. Plus, everything I've been reading (keep in mind, now is "Smokescreen Time") says the Pack are going after a pass rushing bookend to Kampman, and looking at their options (unless they address it through free agency) they have nobody on the roster that fills that role. Hawk is moving inside with Barnett. And yes...Loadholt can block the sun...hopefully for the Pack...he's still there in the 2nd round.

Lakers: Could it be any more CLICHE for a Lakers fan to have a response like that. You all are the same (yes...I'm definitely stereotyping). Anyway...I understand the 24/7 "cycle" you boys PMS on...so I'll humor you. James & Jim...are you serious?! Let's put it this way...if your name is Richard, I'll gladly refer to you as "Dick". See my last response about an OLB in Green Bay. Malcolm Jenkins is the top corner. He's much better than any prospect that came out at this time last year, and where did the likes of Leodis McKelvin and DRC end up going? Not a reach. When has Denver taken a RB in the first round? Good argument if you didn't realize their coaching staff has changed. Or maybe you haven't heard yet. Maualuga?!?!? Last I checked they have D.J. Williams and Wesley Woodyard under contract manning the the ILB spots. You sure you know what you're talking about? Everette Brown is 6-3 250...how can he NOT be a 3-4 OLB. Better yet HOW THE HELL IS HE A 3-4 DE?!?!?!?!?! And why would the Chiefs take him over Aaron Curry, who should be there for them (unless you think Detroit or St. Louis is taking Curry...LMAO). And if you could read and comprehend, you would see that Max Unger is being looked at as a C/G/T, but is listed as a center. The Steelers can plug him in anywhere...and I'd take Unger over Mack at center any day. Not even entertaining the Alphonso Smith snub...as many EXPERTS (yes, people much smarter than I) have him as the #2 ranked corner in this draft. Lakers fan...I honestly think you did yourself a disservice by opening your mouth (er...typing). This mindless drivel you just spewed doesn't have any logic, and smells of one's own random thoughts without doing ANY research. Good luck with that as your "strategy".

Jets/Sanchez: Many Jets fans have expressed the same disgust over my Sanchez pick. Ratliff is a decent option at QB, but like I said, if Sanchez continues along his trajectory, Jets fans would be VERY happy with him. It's going to come down to his private workouts that will happen weeks before the draft.Arminhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01281355626569991770noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34690815.post-69369450514566613022009-02-19T21:32:00.000-05:002009-02-19T21:32:00.000-05:00i think sanchez is a horrible pick the jets dont n...i think sanchez is a horrible pick the jets dont need another project QB he is too inexperienced and for him to just sit and learn a year is pointless...it would be better to address our need for a WR such as kenny britt or nicks or DHBAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34690815.post-60672461550311150982009-02-19T17:24:00.000-05:002009-02-19T17:24:00.000-05:00I couldn't even read anything after the 1st round....I couldn't even read anything after the 1st round. Some of your picks don't make sense.

1. The Vikings aren't going to draft a ILB in the 1st round. They will be looking at an OT, CB, or WR. ILB isn't even on their radar for Round 1. And by the way, it's JAMES not Jim.

2. I don't see Green Bay taking an OLB. If Jenkins does go as early as you think (doubtful) then they will likely take BJ Raji.

3. When has Denver taken a 1st round RB? Don't see that happening. With Raji gone, they could definetely take ILB Rey Maualuga.

4. Everette Brown could play OLB, but not in the 3-4. He would be a definate 3-4 DE. He would be a great fit at #3 to the Chiefs.

5. And if you paid attention at all during Senior Bowl week, Alex Mack far proved he was the best Center in this draft class. Highly doubt Unger is taken before him.

6. To call Alphonso Smith a reach at # 20 is an understatement. I haven't seen many mocks that have him cracking the 1st round.

That is all I will go into at this time.

Some of your picks are good, but some of them are far more than questionableAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34690815.post-58947383978607411522009-02-19T17:23:00.001-05:002009-02-19T17:23:00.001-05:00Kudos on the two rounds...takes a lot of time to p...Kudos on the two rounds...takes a lot of time to put that togethor!

I like your packers pick, but I see them taking BJ Raji first round, however, I definetley like the loadholt pick second round.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34690815.post-4677992430777701062009-02-19T17:23:00.000-05:002009-02-19T17:23:00.000-05:00While I love the Pettigrew pick at 21, I cannot se...While I love the Pettigrew pick at 21, I cannot see them taking a Linebacker in the second round. I would see them taking Patrick Chung, Safety, Oregon as the heir apparent to B.Dawk. Although I would not be suprised if they take two OTs early on. Pettigrew would certainly be my pick if he was there, but I think he goes to New Orleans at 14.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34690815.post-22250884116759333622009-02-19T17:22:00.000-05:002009-02-19T17:22:00.000-05:00As an Eagles fan I like the Brandon Pettigrew pick...As an Eagles fan I like the Brandon Pettigrew pick (it upgrades both the run game and the pass game) and I think they will go O-line with the other first-round pick as well, but I would bet that the team's plan is to move Herremans from guard to tackle and re-sign Tra Thomas, so I think they would draft a flexible interior lineman like Duke Robinson or Alex Mack with their second first-round pick. If Knowshon Moreno falls that far (not likely), he could trump the choice of a lineman in round one. The team could land a slightly lesser tackle prospect with its second round pick.
Ideally I would like the team to package one of the first-round picks with a player like Lito Sheppard in a trade for Anquan Boldin, although the Cardinals' asking price will probably be higher than that, given the demand around the league for a receiver of his caliber.
If the Eagles don't think Demps can mature into something special at safety, I think they'll take a safety in the second round. If they are high on Demps I wouldn't be surprised if they drafted another defensive end to throw into the mix or a running back who fits the system.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34690815.post-87580259493574218462009-02-19T14:11:00.000-05:002009-02-19T14:11:00.000-05:00Thanks for the comments and praise. A couple of my own comments:

Regarding Rashad Johnson: What would be more amazing (and not far-fetched) is if Johnson is the top safety off the board on draft day.

Bruce Johnson: I actually didn't have Johnson on my radar, until I read a couple of draft reports that brought his athletic ability to light. There are a lot of teams looking for young corners, and like every year, there aren't enough of them in the draft. A bit of a wild card, but if I'm way off base...I'd like to think I got the position right.

Broncos going O: Indeed the Broncos will need to address their defense. Here's a couple of scenarios. If they go CB, Vontae Davis and Alphonso Smith should both be available. I find the LB position a little unsettled. Which DEs will move to OLB (they have several young ones)? Which current LBs will be moved around? If B.J. Raji is there, that is an easy pick for them to make. However, I stick to my guns on the Wells pick with Raji not around. He embodies everything Pioli and his former cohorts over in New England saw in Corey Dillon, and then some. Their running game hasn't exactly been the same since Dillon was finished.Arminhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01281355626569991770noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34690815.post-24104642463802607272009-02-19T13:48:00.001-05:002009-02-19T13:48:00.001-05:00(From FanNation)One problem, the Broncos are rebui...(From FanNation)
One problem, the Broncos are rebuilding an entire defense and thats going to take 2-3 years at least.
